When suppliers sit in different places, the figures on the page differ in more than amount: the currency, who pays which charge, how payment is arranged and what evidence of conformity comes with the offer. This guide covers only the differences that appear because suppliers are in different places. Putting any set of quotes on one basis is the job of a comparison matrix and is not repeated here.
A lower number can reflect another currency convention, a charge left to you, or an assumption about payment, not a better offer. Sort each difference into one of those before you compare the amounts.
Where a term cannot be settled from the documents, put a closed question to the supplier rather than guessing.
Two suppliers quoting in different currencies carry different movement risk for you; note it.
A thorough reply and a thin one are different signals about how the relationship will work.
Onward delivery is outside a quote comparison. Shipping is a separate LATYNEX service.
Units, quantity steps, validity and inclusions are aligned the same way whatever the countries. The comparison matrix page shows the layout, and LATYNEX's RFQ comparison produces it from the quotes you hold, with gaps flagged and assumptions written out.
Write down the rate source and date you use for any conversion, and keep the original currency visible beside it.
Bank charges and any taxes the quote mentions may fall to different parties. Mark what is yours and what the quote does not state.
Advance payment, part payment and payment after delivery change the value of the same number. Record the arrangement beside the price.
Documents offered can differ in kind between suppliers. Compare which evidence exists and check each item with its issuer.
Research reports what can be established from public and provided sources. It is not a guarantee about a counterparty's future conduct and not legal advice.
Convert to one reference for comparison, but keep the original figures so the conversion can be checked.
Not by itself. It is one criterion among those on your sheet.
Record it as unavailable and weigh that in the comparison.
