Air or sea — the right mode depends on your timeline, cargo weight and budget. Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth are all supported gateways, confirmed at quote stage.
Air Freight — 3–5 Days (airport-to-airport)
From major Chinese airports to Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane or Perth. Airport-to-airport transit — Australian customs clearance and final delivery are separate and confirmed at quote stage. Best for time-sensitive, high-value or low-weight cargo.
Sea Freight — From 12 Days (port-to-port)
FCL: 12–22 days port-to-port to Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane or Perth. Australian customs clearance, biosecurity checks where applicable, and final delivery are not included in the port-to-port figure. Most cost-effective for regular volume cargo.
Biosecurity & Wood Packaging
Solid timber packaging and dunnage must meet Australia's biosecurity import conditions. ISPM 15-compliant packaging is accepted, and BICON may specify alternative treatment pathways depending on the packaging and circumstances. Certain goods — food, plant or animal-origin products — may require inspection or additional documentation. We confirm applicable requirements per shipment.
Express — 4–7 Days
Urgent shipments via express air courier. Samples, replacement stock and time-critical consignments delivered door-to-door to Australia in 4–7 days from Shenzhen or Shanghai.
DDP — Available on Request
Australia is outside our currently listed DDP destinations. Where DDP is arranged, Australian customs duty and GST can be pre-paid as part of the quote, subject to shipment structure and confirmation — contact us with your commodity and destination details.
Customs Documentation
Commercial invoice, packing list, import declaration and, where applicable, ISPM 15 wood-packaging documentation are handled as part of our arranged customs process where DDP applies. Current applicable duty and GST confirmed before you book.
FCL — Full Container Load
Your cargo fills an entire container and travels without being mixed with other shippers' goods. Suits larger or regular shipment volumes.
LCL — Less Than Container Load
Your cargo shares a container with other shippers' goods and you pay only for the space you use, including consolidation/deconsolidation steps — useful for smaller, regular shipments under 5 CBM.

Cargo arrives at our China export warehouse. Quantities verified, cargo consolidated, export documentation prepared — including ISPM 15 packaging declarations where relevant.
Export customs clearance in China
We prepare and file Chinese export documentation and clear cargo for export at the relevant Chinese port or airport.
International transit: air or sea
Your cargo travels via your agreed mode. Air: 3–5 days airport-to-airport to an Australian gateway airport. Sea: 12–22 days port-to-port to an Australian gateway port.
Arrival at Australian gateway
Cargo arrives at a Australian gateway airport (air) or seaport — Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane or Perth (sea).
Australian customs and biosecurity clearance
The import declaration is filed with the Australian Border Force. Where wood packaging or regulated goods are involved, biosecurity requirements (such as ISPM 15 compliance) are verified before release. Where DDP is arranged, Australian duty and GST are paid on your behalf; for DAP, we notify you of the amount for self-payment.
Final delivery to your Australian address
Cleared cargo is delivered to your specified address: warehouse, office, or 3PL fulfilment centre.
