What's Included

Everything Covered Under a DDP Shipment

When you ship DDP with Latynex, the full import cost chain is managed from Chinese factory floor to your door. Here's what a single DDP quote covers.

Import Duties Pre-Paid

Every DDP shipment we handle includes pre-payment of import duty at the destination country rate. You know the exact landed cost before your cargo leaves China — no surprise bills when it arrives.

Door-to-Door Collection & Delivery

We collect directly from your supplier in Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Ningbo, Yiwu or any other Chinese city. Delivery is to your warehouse, Amazon FBA centre, or any business address.

Export & Import Customs Filed

Our licensed customs team prepares all export documentation in China (commercial invoice, packing list, export declaration) and files the import customs entry at destination on your behalf.

Import VAT Handled

Where applicable, import VAT is paid as part of the DDP service. This is particularly relevant for EU destinations (German EUSt, French TVA, Dutch BTW) and UK import VAT under PVAT rules.

Multi-Supplier Consolidation

Ordering from more than one Chinese factory? We collect from each location and consolidate all cargo into a single DDP shipment before export — one bill of lading, one customs entry, one delivery.

All Three Freight Modes

DDP is available on all freight modes we operate. Air freight (5–14 days) for speed, sea freight (18–35 days) for volume, or rail freight (18–25 days, China–Europe only) for the balanced option.

The Process

How DDP Shipping From China Works

Six stages from your supplier's factory to final delivery — all managed by Latynex.

Unlike standard freight forwarding where the buyer handles import customs separately, a DDP shipment is a single managed service. You confirm the shipment, we handle everything else — including the elements most importers find most complex: import duties, customs entries and last-mile coordination.

1

You confirm your shipment

Send us your supplier's collection address, cargo details — weight, dimensions, product description and HS code if known — and your delivery destination. We calculate all applicable import duties, VAT and customs fees, then send you a single all-inclusive DDP quote.

2

Supplier pickup in China

Our China-based team collects from your supplier's factory or warehouse. On request, we verify quantities and inspect packaging before loading. All export documentation is prepared at this stage: commercial invoice, packing list and export customs declaration.

3

Export customs clearance

Your cargo is cleared for export at the Chinese port or airport. We file the export declaration, obtain the customs release and arrange loading. You receive a tracking reference once the shipment is in transit.

4

International freight in transit

Your cargo travels via the agreed freight mode: air freight (5–14 days to Europe, 4–8 days to UAE), sea freight (18–35 days depending on destination) or China–Europe rail (18–25 days). We provide milestone tracking updates throughout.

5

Import customs clearance at destination

Our licensed import broker files the customs entry at the destination country. All import duties, VAT and customs handling fees are paid on your behalf. No additional payments are required from you at this stage.

6

Last-mile delivery to your address

Cargo is cleared from customs, collected by local transport and delivered to your specified address. Whether that's a private warehouse, a 3PL fulfilment centre or an Amazon FBA fulfilment centre — we deliver to door.

Incoterms Explained

DDP vs DAP — Which Is Right for Your Shipment?

DDP and DAP are the two most common Incoterms used for China imports. The key difference is who pays import duties and who handles customs at destination.

You want total cost clarity and zero customs admin
You have an existing broker and prefer to manage duties

DDP is typically the better choice for importers who do not have an established customs broker relationship or EORI registration in the destination country. DAP may be preferred by larger importers with in-house logistics teams who can benefit from reclaiming import VAT directly.

Cost Guidance

What Does DDP Shipping From China Cost?

Indicative DDP cost ranges for the China → Europe corridor. All figures include freight, import duty, customs handling and delivery. Exact quotes depend on cargo weight, HS code and current market rates.

DDP Cost Guide — China → EuropeIndicative ranges
ModeTransitDDP Cost RangeBest For
Air Freight5–12 days€8–22 / kgUrgent or high-value cargo
Rail Freight18–25 days€3–7 / kgRegular China–Europe volumes
Sea Freight25–35 days€1.5–4 / kgLarge volumes, containers

Indicative ranges only. Import duty rates vary significantly by product and HS code — we calculate exact duty before confirming your DDP quote. Fuel surcharges and port congestion fees apply. Contact us for a specific quote.

Important note on import duties: The import duty component of your DDP cost is calculated on your specific product's HS code and the destination country's tariff rate. For example, clothing shipped to Germany typically attracts 12% EU import duty, while most electronics are duty-free under the ITA. We calculate your exact duty rate as part of every DDP quote — there are no surprises.

Why DDP?

Why Importers Choose DDP Shipping From China

DDP is not just about convenience. For growing importers, it directly reduces risk, simplifies accounting and protects Amazon FBA timelines.

Total landed cost before you commit

With DDP, your quote includes freight, import duty, VAT and delivery — calculated upfront. You can compare supplier quotes accurately and plan your margins before placing the purchase order.

Zero customs administration

No EORI registration, no customs broker appointment, no import entry filing. Latynex handles the entire import process. You focus on your product and your customers.

Reduced Amazon FBA risk

FBA deliveries require precise arrival windows. A customs delay that you are managing yourself can cause missed FBA pick windows and IPI score impact. DDP with Latynex means we absorb the customs risk.

Consistent cost across markets

Whether you're shipping to Germany, the USA or the UAE, the DDP structure is the same — one quote, all in. No need to navigate different duty rates or customs regimes for each market yourself.
