Sea Freight — 27–40 Days
FCL and LCL from Chinese ports to a major European container gateway (such as Hamburg), then inland delivery to the Czech Republic. The Czech Republic is landlocked — there is no Czech seaport; the sea leg ends at the European gateway.

DDP — Delivered Duty Paid

EU Import Duty
The Czech Republic is part of the EU Customs Union — import duty rates follow the EU's Common External Tariff, identical to the rest of the EU. The exact rate depends on your product's HS code. We calculate your duty rate before confirming a DDP quote.
Czech VAT (DPH)
Import VAT is charged at the Czech Republic's standard rate of 21% on most goods, with reduced rates for certain categories. Where DDP applies, Latynex can pre-pay this on your behalf. VAT-registered Czech businesses can typically reclaim it on their regular VAT return. Confirm your product's exact rate with your accountant.
EORI Number
An EORI number may be required to file import customs declarations in the Czech Republic. Where Latynex DDP applies, you typically do not need to register one. Under DAP, self-managing customs, you would register an EORI with Czech customs before your first import.
Freight Cost vs. Landed Cost
A freight quote and a full landed-cost figure are not automatically the same thing. Landed cost includes freight, EU duty, Czech VAT, and any handling or delivery charges — the exact total depends on your commodity's HS code, declared value and shipment structure. We confirm the full landed-cost estimate as part of your quote.
Landlocked Destination — Inland Delivery
As a landlocked country, all sea freight to the Czech Republic ends at a European gateway port and continues by inland transport. Rail freight is often the more direct option, arriving at the established Prague terminal without an equivalent additional sea-to-inland transfer.
