Freight Options

How to Ship From China to Poland

Air, rail and sea — the right mode depends on your timeline, cargo weight and budget. All three available with DDP delivery to any Polish address.

Air Freight — 5–12 Days

Shanghai Pudong (PVG), Shenzhen Bao'an (SZX) and Guangzhou Baiyun (CAN) to Warsaw Chopin Airport (WAW). Best for time-sensitive, high-value or low-weight cargo. DDP door-to-door available.

Rail Freight — 18–25 Days

China–Europe rail via the New Silk Road corridor crosses into the EU at Małaszewicze — Poland's rail gateway and gauge-transfer point. Weekly departures from Chengdu, Xi'an, Zhengzhou and Chongqing. Often the most direct rail option for Polish delivery, since Poland is the first EU stop on the corridor.

Sea Freight — 25–37 Days

FCL and LCL from Shanghai, Ningbo, Shenzhen and Guangzhou to Gdańsk or Gdynia — Poland's two main Baltic container ports. Cost-effective for regular volume cargo.

Amazon FBA Poland

Import customs clearance, EU duty and Polish VAT (23% standard rate) — all pre-paid by Latynex. No EORI number required from you. One all-inclusive landed cost quote before your cargo leaves China.

The Process

How China to Poland Shipping Works

Eight stages from your Chinese supplier to final delivery in Poland — all managed by Latynex.

1

Request a quote with your cargo details

Send us your supplier's collection address in China, cargo description, weight and dimensions, destination address in Poland, and preferred freight mode. We calculate the all-in DDP cost — including EU duty and Polish VAT — and confirm the quote.

2

Supplier collection from China

Our China-based team collects from your supplier's factory or warehouse anywhere in mainland China. Multi-supplier consolidation is available.

3

China export warehouse and consolidation

Cargo arrives at our China export warehouse. For FBA shipments, FNSKU labeling and carton prep are completed here.

4

Export customs clearance in China

We prepare and file Chinese export documentation and clear cargo for export at the relevant Chinese port, airport, or rail terminal.

5

International freight: air, rail or sea

Your cargo travels via your agreed mode. Air: 5–12 days to Warsaw. Rail: 18–25 days via Małaszewicze. Sea FCL/LCL: 25–37 days to Gdańsk/Gdynia.

6

Arrival in Poland

Cargo arrives at Gdańsk/Gdynia (sea), Małaszewicze (rail), or Warsaw (air). Our Polish customs broker is notified on arrival and begins import filing immediately.

7

Polish import customs clearance

Our licensed customs broker files the import declaration with Polish customs (Krajowa Administracja Skarbowa). EU duty and Polish VAT are paid on your behalf under DDP.

8

Final delivery to your Polish address

Cleared cargo is delivered to your specified address: warehouse, office, Amazon FC, or 3PL fulfilment centre. For Amazon FBA, we manage the FC delivery appointment.

Customs

Importing Into Poland — What You Need to Know

A practical guide to Polish import requirements for businesses shipping from China — duty, VAT, EORI and the rail corridor gateway explained.

EU Import Duty (TARIC)

Poland is part of the EU Customs Union — import duty rates follow the EU's Common External Tariff (TARIC), identical to the rest of the EU. The exact rate depends on your product's HS code. We calculate your duty rate before confirming any DDP quote.

Polish VAT

Import VAT is charged at Poland's standard rate of 23% on the customs value plus duty, with reduced rates (8% or 5%) for certain goods categories. Under DDP, Latynex pre-pays this on your behalf. VAT-registered Polish businesses can typically reclaim it on their regular VAT return.

EORI Number

An EORI number is required to file import customs declarations in Poland. You do not need one when using Latynex DDP — we file under our own customs authorisation. Under DAP, you would register an EORI with Polish customs (KAS) before your first import.

Rail Corridor Gateway

Because Poland is where China–Europe rail freight transfers from the wider Russian/Belarusian gauge onto standard European gauge track at Małaszewicze, Polish-bound rail cargo generally has a more direct routing than rail shipments continuing further into the EU. This is a genuine geographic advantage for Poland specifically, not a claim about pricing or guaranteed transit times.
