Austrian VAT (MwSt)
Import VAT is charged at Austria's standard rate of 20% on most goods, with reduced rates for certain categories. Where DDP applies, Latynex can pre-pay this on your behalf. EORI Number
An EORI number may be required to file import customs declarations in Austria. Where Latynex DDP applies, you typically do not need to register one. Under DAP, self-managing customs, you would register an EORI with Austrian customs before your first import.
Freight Cost vs. Landed Cost
A freight quote and a full landed-cost figure are not automatically the same thing. Landed cost includes freight, EU duty, Austrian VAT, and any handling or delivery charges — the exact total depends on your commodity's HS code, declared value and shipment structure.
