EU Import Duty

Swedish VAT (Moms)
Import VAT is charged at Sweden's standard rate of 25% on most goods, with reduced rates for certain categories. Under DDP, Latynex pre-pays this on your behalf. VAT-registered Swedish businesses can typically reclaim it on their regular VAT return. Confirm your product's exact rate with your accountant.
EORI Number
An EORI number is required to file import customs declarations in Sweden. You do not need one when using Latynex DDP — we file under our own customs authorisation. Under DAP, you would register an EORI with Swedish customs before your first import.
Freight Cost vs. Landed Cost
A freight quote and a full landed-cost figure are not automatically the same thing. Landed cost includes freight, EU duty, Swedish VAT, and any handling or delivery charges — the exact total depends on your commodity's HS code, declared value and shipment structure.
