For buyers with a defined need
Tell us what you need. We source it.
A mandate is a written requirement we work against: what, how many, where, by when and at what level. You stop searching; we bring lots that fit.
At a glance
What a useful mandate contains
- Container type and size: 20DC, 40DC, 40HC, or special equipment case by case.
- Quantity as a range, and whether it is one lot or a series.
- Where you need them: the port, city or the area you can collect from, and your radius.
- Grade you accept: one-trip, cargo-worthy, wind and watertight, as is, or damaged for conversion.
- Timing: by when, and whether you can take units as they arrive.
- Frequency: one-off, or a monthly programme with an approximate volume.
- A target price per unit, if you have one. It helps us tell you early whether the requirement is realistic.
What a mandate is, and what it is not
It is an instruction to search and to propose, not an order to buy. We look for lots among the owners, lessors and traders we work with, and we put forward only those that fit your written requirement. You decide on each proposal.
It is not an exclusivity clause unless you ask for one. If you do want us to be your only sourcing channel for a defined volume, that is agreed in the terms and usually comes with a clearer commitment from both sides.
How the search runs
Your requirement is checked against the supply already registered and then taken to counterparties who are likely to hold or soon receive matching equipment. Pre-arrival lots are included, so a requirement can be matched to containers that are still on their way.
You receive a short proposal per lot: quantity, grade, location, timing and price basis. Identities are shared only after you and the other side confirm the terms.
One-off requirements and monthly programmes
A one-off mandate ends when the quantity is delivered. A recurring mandate keeps the requirement open: for example a monthly volume in one area. Recurring need is useful to owners because it gives their surplus a destination, so we treat it as a long-term requirement and tell you honestly how well it can be served.
If you need a constant flow, say so. We would rather agree a realistic volume and grade than promise an amount that the market cannot supply every month.
Delivery and inspection are part of the offer
Where you need the containers delivered rather than collected, delivery to your site is coordinated and quoted with the terms. Inspection is arranged before handover when grade matters to your use, for example when units go into conversion or are placed on a customer's site.
