Container remarketing: we look for the buyer, you keep control of the equipment

A way to resell equipment without handing it over first. You keep control until a transaction is agreed, and we do the work of finding and preparing the buyer.

At a glance

How a remarketing engagement is set up

  • You describe the lot: type, quantity, location, grade and timing.
  • We agree how the lot is described to buyers, and what stays confidential.
  • We agree the commercial model for the lot: fixed fee, success-based fee or an agreed trading margin.
  • We approach selected buyers with the description, not with your name.
  • You review each proposal and accept, change or decline it.
  • Inspection, documents and handover are coordinated once terms are confirmed.

What remarketing means here

Remarketing is a service where the owner of the equipment keeps ownership and control while LATYNEX looks for a buyer and prepares the transaction. We do not need the containers on our balance sheet to do that, and we do not ask you to transfer title before there is a buyer and an agreed price basis.

Remarketing and buyer matching are the base model. It suits owners who want a professional resale route without building a sales desk of their own, and who prefer to stay in charge of the final decision on every lot. LATYNEX is not obliged to buy or hold inventory, and nothing on this page is a commitment to buy, a promise of sale or a promise of availability.

Control stays with the owner

You decide whether a lot is offered, to whom it is described and on what basis. In our process nothing is advertised in public and no buyer receives your name before you confirm the terms; where you need a formal confidentiality agreement, it is agreed separately. If a local sale is not allowed under your ownership or lease conditions, the lot is not offered.

This also keeps your relationship with the market intact. Buyers deal with us for the lot, and the supply side of your business is not put in front of them.

How the commercial side can be set up

Commercial arrangements can be structured as a fixed fee, a success-based fee or an agreed trading margin, depending on the specific transaction. A fixed fee per container is the simplest: a known amount for each unit sold through the process. A success fee ties our reward to the sale and is payable only when a sale completes. An agreed trading margin is possible where it suits the transaction. Any purchase or taking of title by LATYNEX would only occur where it is explicitly agreed in writing for that individual lot; it is never the starting point.

Which arrangement fits depends on the lot, the size of the series and how much of the work you want us to carry. It is agreed with you before any buyer is approached, so nobody discovers it afterwards.

Services that can be added around the sale

Many lots need more than a buyer. We can coordinate an inspection or a depot check before the terms are fixed, the release instruction at the depot, and the pickup or delivery to the buyer. These are written into the terms as separate items, with their cost visible.

What we ask of you

Accurate grading, a release instruction the depot will accept, and written permission to sell where you are a lessor or carrier. In return we keep you informed of each approach made, each answer received and the state of the lot until it is closed.
