Used containers at Piraeus: selling and sourcing across two operators

Piraeus is run in two parts. The port authority operates the Pier I container terminal itself, while a separate company holds a thirty-five-year concession for Piers II and III. A lot at Piraeus therefore belongs to one operator or the other, and that is the first thing we need to know.

Two operators, different piers

The authority lists Pier I with a 1,150 m pier, 18 m depth and seven ship-to-shore cranes, and says the combined capacity of all piers is about 7.2 million TEU. We represent neither operator. A release date and the pier are the first details we ask for.

Owners with equipment for Piraeus

Report one-way, SOC, off-hire, used or damaged containers due at Piraeus: type, quantity and release date. We look for a professional buyer or a reuse option and say honestly when we see none.

Buyers in Attica and the islands

Storage users, builders and traders register a type, a quantity range and how far they can collect. A buyer on an island has a last leg to arrange, which we ask about early; the reviewer sees the real distance to the lot.

Large lots and small ones

The authority says the infrastructure can serve carriers of up to 16,000 TEU, so lots can be large. Small lots are reviewed too; we do not serve a single container for private use.
