Selling and sourcing used containers at the Port of Gdynia
Gdynia has two container terminals of its own and sits beside Gdańsk in the same bay. What sets it apart for equipment owners is that its terminals publish figures about reefer positions and rail tracks, which makes refrigerated and rail-linked lots a natural topic here in a way they are not at every quay.
Two terminals, two release points
GCT and the Baltic Container Terminal are separate operators with their own gates. A lot in Gdynia therefore has to be tied to one of them, and the first thing we ask is which. We do not act for either terminal and do not quote their handling terms.
Reefer and special equipment
One of the terminals states that it has positions for reefer containers, so refrigerated units are a realistic thing to report here. We take reefers, open tops, flat racks and damaged units as requests and tell you honestly whether a buyer or user fits; there is no standing offer for any of them.
Selling from Gdynia, buying in Gdynia
Owners report type, quantity and release date. Buyers register the type, a quantity range, whether the need repeats and how far from Gdynia they can collect. We compare the two by real distance, so a lot at Gdynia can be shown against demand registered for Gdańsk, and the reviewer sees exactly how far apart the places are.
Rail out of the terminal
Both operators describe rail links at their terminals. Whether a lot leaves by road or rail is decided for each deal with the parties, together with inspection and any charges. Nothing about the route is fixed in advance.
