Used containers at Barcelona: terminals, depots and reuse
The Port de Barcelona lists three empty-container depots on its terminals-and-depots page, next to two container terminals. Depots suggest empties are handled and stored around the port, so where a box stands and for how long matters more here than at a port with no such facilities.
Two terminals and a multipurpose one
The port names APM Terminals Barcelona and Hutchison Ports BEST as its container terminals and lists Terminal Bergé as multipurpose. We act for none of them; a lot has to be tied to one, and the first thing we ask is which.
Where the box actually stands
The port says its terminals have a combined berthing line of over 3,000 metres, over 3,500 cooling connections and fourteen rail connections, and that APM Terminals has its own. A box may be at a terminal, at a depot or already on a wagon. Tell us which, and how long it has been there.
Owners and buyers
Owners report one-way, SOC, off-hire, used or damaged containers, with quantity and location. Buyers register a type, a quantity range and how far they can collect. A lot is shared only when it is a concrete match and its owner has agreed.
Reefers and special units
Because the terminals list cooling connections, reefers are a realistic thing to report here. They are taken as requests, and we say honestly whether a buyer or user fits; there is no standing offer for any special unit.
